Monday +19 (10:30 PM)

Jackie completed her third IV antibiotic treatment tonight. There isn't a lot new to report. She was able to walk about 1/4 of the distance from the apartment to the hospital tonight. On the return trip she only managed about 100 yards. Her energy level is still very low. The total distance from the apartment to the hospital thru the subway/skyway system is about 4 blocks. When we are able to walk outside the distance is about 2.5 blocks. The actual distance from the hospital room to our room is about 300-400 yards. A good golfer could hit our window with a long drive.

She continues to have a problem with her rash. It comes and goes. I don't think it is due to the antibiotics. I personally believe it is related to GvHD. The cultures for the CMV virus once again came back negative today. That is a good thing.

Tomorrow is a busy day with three IV antibiotic treatments and three doctor's appointments. We will be in the hospital for most of tomorrow.

Until later,

Bruce and Jackie

PS. For all of you who post comments on the blog I try to read all of these to Jackie. On days when she feels better she reads them herself. To whoever posted that they doubted the donor being MALE because Jackie was doing laundry and mopping the floor - she got a good laugh out of that!

Bruce,
You've always been right on everything else going on with Jackie so I'm sure the rash IS GvHD

Jackie, our thoughts and prayers are still very strong for you and we miss you, miss you, miss you both very very much.
